These terms are the rules for using Impact Connect. By using the platform you agree to them. They are written to be readable - if anything is unclear, ask us through the Contact + Feedback form on the home page.

What Impact Connect is

Impact Connect is a discovery and coordination platform for India's social sector. It lists reviewed nonprofit, CSR, learning, volunteering and giving opportunities, and offers free tools (planning, reporting, bulletins and more) to nonprofits, volunteers, donors and companies.

Free for nonprofits, forever

Using Impact Connect is free for nonprofits, volunteers and donors. We may show optional third-party tools on some pages; a few of those links are partner links that may earn us a commission at no cost to you. Partner links are always labelled.

What Impact Connect is not

We are not a bank, payment service or fundraiser. We never collect or process donations or payments. Money always moves on the organisation's or provider's own official website.
We are not a government body and we do not represent any government body.
A verified badge means we checked the identity and official record of a person or organisation. It does not guarantee every project, claim or outcome.
Listings and summaries are information, not legal, tax or financial advice. For decisions about registrations, tax exemptions or compliance, check the official source or a qualified professional.

Your responsibilities

Give accurate information in forms and listings.
Only submit content you have the right to share. Organisation logos and documents are shown only when the organisation itself provides them.
Do not misuse the platform: no spam, no scraping, no fake listings, no harassment, nothing unlawful.
You must be 18 or above, or use the platform through a parent or guardian.

Review before publishing

Content submitted to Impact Connect does not go public automatically. We review submissions first and can edit, decline or remove content that is inaccurate, misleading, unlawful or against these terms.

Content and ownership

Your content stays yours. By submitting a listing you give us permission to show it on Impact Connect.
Government scheme information is summarised in our own words and linked to the official source. Government emblems and logos are not used.
Public data from official sources is credited on our Data Sources page.

Accounts and email verification

Some actions (like sending messages or saving submissions) ask you to verify your email address. This exists to protect organisations from spam. Keep your verification to yourself and do not use someone else's identity.

Takedown and grievance

If you believe something on Impact Connect is inaccurate, violates your rights, or is unlawful, tell us through the Grievance page. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days. Where a lawful court or government order requires removal, we act within the time the law sets.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Impact Connect reliable, but the service is provided "as is" and may change, pause or stop features over time. We are not liable for losses caused by outages, errors in third-party information, or actions taken based on listings without checking the official source.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India will have jurisdiction over disputes.
